Maison Azul - Historic Merida

Blend a large European fountain with a natural cenote and you will get the pool at Maison Azul. On a hot afternoon in Merida, you will find it's 2 meter depth very refeshing. By Merida standards it is a deep pool.  Because of the limestone bedrock that forms most of the ground in Merida drilling deep is very difficult and time consuming. So a deep pool that stays cool in Merida's heat is a luxury to be desired.  In the shallow end there are 2 built in sunning loungers and a standing ledge all around the pool. An antique stone fountain is the centerpiece of the pool, that gently flows into the pool in the evenings. Large enough for the whole family, you will love relaxing in it after a busy day in the city.
